Shipping freight from Guangzhou

Guangzhou is also known as Canton (home of Cantonese food), and is one of the most prosperous regions in China; but industrial pollution is rife. The special administrative region Hong Kong
has a deep-water natural harbour in the South China Sea, and our cheap international shipping services benefit greatly from its numerous container terminals. Full container loads (FCL) benefit from our discounted sea freight rates, though LCL / Less than a container load accounts for much of our freight shipping from China. “Made in Hong Kong” is perhaps less common in the UK since decolonisation in 1997, but our imports from Hong Kong remain significant.
Shipping freight from Huangpu
lies on the Zhujiang River, east of Guangzhou City. A river harbour with good shelter, there are tidal restrictions for docking; pilotage is compulsory. The district became the commercial centre of Shanghai in the late 19th century, and retains its bustling nature today; the old Chinese City is nearby, likewise the “British Concession” (returned to China in 1943). The Shanghai Municipal Council remain in Huangpu, and this is a popular port for cargo to the UK from the region.
