VAT The Netherlands
When shipping from the Netherlands to UK ports for onward travel in the British Isles, it’s necessary to oversee customs declarations and VAT notices. In the Netherlands, VAT is referred to as “BTW”. The Netherlands standard VAT rate is in line with EU guidelines, although some variations exist. The standard VAT rate in the Netherlands is 21%, which is slightly lower than the rate in some other EU member states.
