Sea Freight Imports From Cochin to the UK
At Barrington Freight, we have the professional know-how to help British importers who would like to have goods they have purchased from Indian suppliers loaded onto European-bound cargo ships via Cochin. The Port of Cochin (INCOK) is also referred to locally as Kochi Port and, whichever name is used, Barrington Freight’s operation team will be on hand to ensure that your goods get to the UK in the most cost-effective but speedy manner possible. Given that Cochin is the principal port in the southern Indian state of Kerala, frequent shipments of goods are possible to UK ports like Tilbury. If you’d like us to act on your behalf when importing to the UK via Cochin, then please do not hesitate to contact us.
The state of Kerala is well-known in the UK for agriculture and fisheries but it is also a hub for manufactured goods, too. As such, shipping from the port will often mean a wide variety of goods are possible to import. What’s more, the Port of Cochin also enjoys good land communications with Bangalore so it is an important trade hub – one that has been in constant use for centuries – for some of the more centrally located urban areas of southern India, too. Given that Cochin has one of the largest natural ports in the area and that it possesses no fewer than 16 berths and two wharves, it makes an excellent choice for British importation companies.
