In Latvia, VAT is termed “Pievienotās vērtības nodoklis” (PVN). Latvian standard VAT rate rules comply with the broader EU guidelines. The standard VAT rate in Latvia is 21%, which is slightly lower than the standard rate in some other EU nations.
