Our Express vehicles
Our express vehicles deliver your cargo in just 24 hours via our road freight services to Europe. When you opt for our next day delivery service we deploy a two-person team that is tasked with minimising the possibility of any disruption or delay to the delivery process. We are situated at Bowden Terminal in Basildon, Essex which is strategically located near the M25. As such, we provide efficient service to London and surrounding areas. This does not exclude those of you living in localities further afield from the capital from accessing our express services however, with hundreds of vehicles located across the UK, we ensure optimum availability for our customers regardless of your situation.

Meet the Management Team
Our staff is dedicated to providing an unrivalled service, which is inspired by the principles set out upon the conception of Barrington Freight and which is upheld not least by the experienced Management Team. Service is our first priority and the Management Team ensures nothing detracts from this. Having extensive experience working alongside companies of all sizes means that we at Barrington Freight are versatile and in spite of any novel challenge that may arise. Our staff are available to help you at every juncture. We will ensure that you find the best freight solution for your needs.
Our headquarters at Bowden Terminal in Basildon, Essex is appropriately situated near the M25 and numerous transport links which makes customer visits convenient. Without further ado, here is our Management Team:
Matt started in freight in 1989 as an office junior for a French haulier and until 2007 had worked for various freight companies in the European Freight industry.
In 2007 Matt started Barrington Freight from personal savings and is very proud that the company has continued to thrive and grow through the recession of 2009, a pandemic and Brexit 2020!
A car-crazy petrol-head, outside of work Matt will be found talking about classic cars, going to car shows or working on cars!
Simon started his working life as a trainee production planner at a packing firm in Norfolk, moving quickly up to senior planner in charge of three 24hr production machines and the work schedule for 140 factory staff.
In 2007 Simon joined Barrington Freight to combine his operational and freight skills together, becoming Operations Director in 2021.
Simon oversees the day-to-day running of the European department and looks after all sea and airfreight shipments, working with customers and suppliers around the globe.
Lee’s first day in freight forwarding was as an office junior on his 18th Birthday.
Fourteen years later, Lee is now our European Operations Manager, overseeing all of the day to day operations, specialising in general cargo whilst looking to develop our new wine services from Germany and Italy.
Lee’s a perfectionist and finds great satisfaction in doing a job properly, which means you will be well looked after!
A big lover of sports, Lee follows Football, Cricket, Rugby, Boxing. There are no sports he doesn’t enjoy.
Carriann has worked in the Finance Industry since the 1990’s.
Extremely organised and enthusiastic, Carriann looks after the Purchase and Sales ledgers, keeping customers and suppliers alike happy.
When not sorting out payments, Carriann loves travelling and spending time with her family.

Right before arrival, an issue came up due to a mistake from the airline, which could have turned into a real headache.
