Czech Import Services

Centrally located, suppliers in the Czech Republic can quickly ship to Germany, Eastern Europe and the UK. Imports to the UK are quick and easy, predominantly conducted by road freight. Typically, goods are sent with lorries or dispatched via more nimble Sprinter-style vans.

Multiple routes are available to avoid tailbacks. Drivers can opt to head to Leipzig from cities, such as Prague or Liberec, while routes through the Czech city of Pilsen and on towards Frankfurt are often just as speedy for reaching ports in the Netherlands or northern France for onward transit to the UK. We make the process simple by picking the optimal route and maintaining contact with our drivers to help them avoid potential hold-ups en route.

From working with Czech hauliers to handling customs procedures and charges, we provide the necessary expertise and support for a seamless import process at competitive rates.

Brexit and Importing Goods from Czech Republic Suppliers

Post-Brexit, bringing any goods in from the EU, including the Czech Republic, will require more paperwork, declarations and clearances. It is also important to research licences or restrictions on your goods. As the republic is a single market member but the UK is not, it’s advisable to use a customs clearance agent as the UK is now a “third country” with no special considerations.

We advise doing your research and speaking to your freight forwarder and customs agent for guidance. Alternatively, speak to us because we can act in both capacities on your behalf for a complete importation solution.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Barrington Freight handled our first import from China and made a complicated job feel simple. Simon Poole guided us through the customs paperwork, postponed VAT and commodity codes patiently, answering a great many questions from someone importing for the first time. Our delivery address is a narrow street with no forklift, and he arranged a smaller vehicle with a tail-lift so the crates could be offloaded by hand without difficulty. The shipment cleared ahead of schedule and, once we'd paid, delivery was arranged for the very next day with a time window confirmed in advance. Excellent communication throughout and genuinely helpful. Highly recommended.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a time-critical air freight shipment coming in from China to the UK and Simon was a huge help in getting it over the line.

Right before arrival, an issue came up due to a mistake from the airline, which could have turned into a real headache. Simon picked it up straight away, dealt with it quickly and managed to sort everything without any extra costs on our side.

Really solid support throughout and easy to deal with, especially given the urgency. Another great job by Barrington Freight - we’ll definitely be using them again!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Good service during a turbulent global shipping period. Special thanks goes to Lee for his efficiency and proactive updates and for rescheduling a delivery in less than 24hrs when the haulage company didn’t read their own paperwork and sent a lorry without the requested tail lift. Highly recommended.
